What’s in this Organic Plant Based Natural Liquid Iron Supplement

Ingredients: Organic or wild harvested Dandelion Leaf, Beet Root, Yellow Dock Root, Nettle Leaf and Spirulina.

Who Needs It?

The most common cause of anaemia is low levels of iron in the body. When a person is anaemic, the heart has to work harder than usual to pump the amount of blood needed to provide the body with enough oxygen. Those with anaemia may find themselves exhausted, particularly after exercising.

Anaemia is a common problem—particularly in menstruating and pregnant women. It can lead to a range of symptoms, including:

  • Lethargy and fatigue
  • Pale skin
  • Weakness
  • Lack of stamina
  • Breathlessness
  • Headaches
  • Heart palpitations
  • Irritability
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Dizziness
  • Depression
  • Loss of memory

Many people can be anaemic without knowing it, as many of these symptoms can be attributed to other reasons.

Anaemia is dangerous, as it leaves your body in a weakened state, as well as making it more difficult to recover from any illnesses you may experience.

During pregnancy, in particular, it is important to try and avoid anaemia, as it can lead to complications in birth and have an effect on the baby’s iron levels.

While a diet high in leafy greens can help to boost iron levels, many people find it difficult to eat enough of these to see a noticeable increase in their iron levels. This is where a natural liquid iron supplement can help, providing a concentrated dose of iron.

How it works:

Almost all iron supplements today are made from inorganic mineral which comes in either ferrous gluconate or ferrous sulfate.

These substances are not found in nature and are hard for the body to uptake through the stomach. For this reason, iron supplements include far higher levels of iron than the body can make use of—a lot is needed for the body to absorb just a little. But the excess iron that the body cannot absorb causes a range of unpleasant side-effects.

Ferrous gluconate is supposedly better than ferrous sulfate, as it is made from a salt compound and is better absorbed by the body than ferrous sulfate.

However, according to Drugs.com, the side effects of ferrous gluconate still include constipation; darkened or green stools; diarrhea; loss of appetite; nausea; stomach cramps, pain, or upset and vomiting.

Our all natural  liquid Iron formula contains a number of iron-rich herbs which the body is able to assimilate. It is a completely natural, plant-based formula. This means you can boost your iron levels, WITHOUT the nasty side-effects that you will experience with most iron supplements on the market.

  • DANDELION LEAF: so much more than just a garden weed! This wonderful herb is high in iron, and is wonderful for combatting low iron levels.
  • BEET ROOT: another herb that contains naturally high levels of iron that the body is very easily able to assimilate. Beet root is also great for cleansing the blood and maintaining a good blood pressure reading.
  • YELLOW DOCK: a herb known for its high Vitamin C content, whose use has been known to help with the absorption of iron. Yellow Dock has more than 50% iron by weight; therefore, it has historically been used for centuries as a remedy for iron deficiency.
  • NETTLE LEAF: one of the best herbs that can be taken to prevent anaemia. Nettle can be used to fortify the diet to prevent it in the first place, or to reverse it in those who have it. Many people drink a daily cup of nettle tea for this reason, which has a surprisingly pleasant taste. Once heated, the leaves lose their ability to sting.
  • SPIRULINA: one of the most nutritionally-dense herbs on earth, it is no surprise that Spirulina contains high levels of iron, and can help in cases of anaemia.

Please note: this product should not be taken with black or Chinese tea and coffee, as these are incompatible with iron tonics.

How to Take it:

Suggested dose: take 60 drops (2 droppers-full) in 60ml of water 2-4 times a day.

In cases of severe anaemia, or during pregnancy, a higher dose of this natural iron supplement can be taken.

I’m a long-term vegetarian (30+years now) and had never had a problem managing my iron level until a major and ongoing stressful event played havoc with my digestion and iron absorption. Within a week of using your Nature’s Iron drops, the underside of my lower eyelids had begun to pink up and I’m ok now and continuing to take a maintenance dose only.Suzanne D. Buderim, Queensland
